About the I Love America Foundation
The I Love America Foundation
is a non-profit California organization.
The I Love America Foundation
funds art projects to help make
the world a better place. This
is done by encouraging artists
to get more involved in social
causes, and to empower people
to bring about social change.
The Love America Foundation was
founded in 2003 to bring about
direct social change through "art
action" because artist David
Kam felt that the Thinkism
Art Movement which he founded
to make people more aware of social
issues through art was simply
not enough. "Making people
aware of social issues is great,
but we need to go a step further,
to actually find solutions to
social problems. This is where
the foundation comes in.", says David.
Promoting freedom, life, liberty,
happiness, equality, and the pursuit
of happiness, through the Book
of Liberty fits perfectly with
the goals, and the aspirations
of the I Love America Foundation,
and the Thinkism Art Movement.
The Book of Liberty project to
promote freedom is the first major
project of the I Love America
Foundation. All the components
of the Book of Liberty project,
including the Book of Liberty
itself, the Freedom Exhibition,
the Liberty Awards, and the International Freedom Monument will help redefine art
for the 21st century, while supporting
a good cause.
We hope to raise enough money
to fund security and maintenance
cost to not only fully re-open
the Statue of Liberty, but also to
expand the museum to allow more
people to enjoy it. The Statue
of Liberty is not just one of
the most famous works of art,
but it is also a worldwide symbol
for freedom, and freedom is a
fundamental human right that is
worth protecting.
